This course provides a comprehensive overview of pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations. It offers a comprehensive overview of pharmaceutical components and compositions. Students will acquire an in-depth comprehension of the various components utilized in pharmaceutical products and their significance in developing formulations. The course encompasses the principles and methodologies employed in formulating diverse types of pharmaceutical dosage forms. Learners will learn about the selection and evaluation of ingredients based on their compatibility, stability, and bioavailability. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the interactions between different ingredients and how they influence the formulation process and product performance. Special consideration will be given to factors affecting the quality, stability, and release of active ingredients from dosage forms.
The instructors are industry-experienced in a supportive learning environment. Field-related internships give students real-world experience. Students also receive ongoing job search assistance and career services from AAPS.
